Frequently asked questions

What information can I print on freezer food labels?

Freezer food labels can be used to print a wide range of product and traceability information, including ingredients, nutrition information, allergen information, product names, barcodes, batch or lot numbers, packed-on dates, best-before or use-by dates, weight and price.

The information you print will depend on your food product, labelling requirements and available label size. Larger labels are often used when more space is needed for ingredients, nutrition information and other product details.

Are there special label roll requirements for scale and weigh-labelling printers?

Yes. Scale and weigh-labelling printers have specific requirements for label size, core size and roll diameter.

Our freezer-grade scale labels use a 40 mm core and are supplied with a suitable roll diameter for compatible DIGI, CAS and Ishida scale and weigh-labelling printers.

If you are unsure, simply provide your printer model and we can help confirm the correct label size.

Can Paclabel supply custom freezer labels?

Yes. Paclabel can supply custom freezer-grade labels in different sizes and roll configurations for food packaging applications.

We can also pre-print your logo, branding or fixed product information, leaving space for overprinting variable information such as barcodes, batch numbers, dates, weight and price using your thermal printer.

Custom roll formats are available for desktop, scale and industrial thermal printers.

Are freezer-grade labels suitable for frozen food packaging at -18°C?

Yes. Our freezer-grade labels are designed for chilled and frozen food packaging, using a freezer-grade adhesive that maintains reliable adhesion in low-temperature conditions.

They are suitable for frozen food products stored at temperatures around -18°C, a common temperature for frozen food storage. For best results, apply labels to a clean, dry packaging surface.

How do I choose the right freezer label for my printer?

Check your printer’s label width, core size and maximum roll diameter before ordering. Paclabel offers different roll configurations for desktop, scale and industrial thermal printers.

If you are unsure, simply provide your printer make and model, and we can help you choose a compatible freezer label.
